Beckhoff Automation's BK7500 Bus Coupler makes it possible to put your I/O and drives on one SERCOS network. Up to 64 terminal I/O modules can be connected to the SERCOS bus coupler to interface as many as 254 digital, analog and various specialty field devices to the SERCOS ring system. Data transfer rates of 2, 4, 8 and 16MBaud are selectable via a configuration switch on the bus coupler. Beckhoff's two channel PCI SERCOS card makes it possible to have one ring running 16Mbaud I/O and another running 2, 4, or 8Mbaud for the drives. Beckhoff's TwinCAT PC based control software can handle all motion tasks and also synchronize multiple networks. Old or existing drives with analog interface can be controlled over SERCOS using analog modules connected to the BK7500. The BK7500 is then connected to the upstream TwinCAT PC or CX1000 embedded controller using a SERCOS master card.

The Beckhoff Bus Terminal broad product line includes 54 different Bus Coupler interface modules covering 15 different networks. There are over 150 different bus terminal signal types including digital, analog, and special function which can be connected to the 54 different Bus couplers.
