Dewetron started life in 1989 as a system integrator, primarily for the automotive design and test market. Dewetron put together data recording systems using best of breed computers, A/D boards, and software. But there was always something missing: good quality affordable signal conditioning. Most of the signal conditioning available with data acquisition then, as now, was incomplete, or offered little isolation. It was impossible to find a single series of plug-in modules that offered direct sensor connection, low-noise, high-isolation, and a wide range of types. So Dewetron began building their own DEWE-modules. Fast forward to today, and Dewetron offers more plug-in modules than ever, in several different exciting series - DAQ, MDAQ, PAD, EPAD, and more.
In America, Dewetron invented the battery-powered high-end data acquisition system, and today offers several models with this capability. They also invented the world's first ruggedized notebook computer with a full-size PCI slot, hot-swappable batteries, a CoreDuo processor, and a bright touchscreen display -- this model is also available in several powerful data acquisition versions.
Dewetron believes that the computer technology should not be proprietary – CPU’s, memory, and hard drives change so fast! Recorders and data acquisition systems, based on proprietary computer technology, do not allow you to upgrade your system or require a steep financial penalty for doing so. This is not the Dewetron way! Their data acquisition/recorders are based on off-the-shelf industrial grade motherboards, standard RAM and drive components that can be upgraded inexpensively for years to come. Meanwhile they continue to invest in broadening their line of DEWE-MODULES and perfecting the hardware platform to be as rugged and low-noise as possible.
Today, Dewetron customers number in the thousands, and are in every field where mechanical devices must be tested: aerospace, energy, utilities, manufacturing, medicine, and so many more. Dewetron is a worldwide company with staffed offices in America, Austria, China, England, Germany, Japan, The Netherlands, Singapore, Slovenia, South Korea, and more. They also have representatives and distributors in dozens of countries throughout South and Central America, Europe, and Asia. The worldwide HQ and main engineering center is located in Graz, Austria. The American headquarters is the second largest facility, contributing both design and engineering and manufacturing capabilities to the company as a whole. At the same time that so many others in their industry are fading, Dewetron is growing stronger every year. But they will never forget that their original success was won one customer at a time, by giving them the best possible value for their money. Now THAT is the Dewetron way!
